NEVC uses modern laser technology to correct the unsightly Varicose Veins. During the procedure we locate the saphenous vein with the help of ultrasound. Laser fiber is inserted and energy delivered to seal the saphenous vein. The procedure is called Endoluminal Laser Ablation of Saphenous Vein or ELAS for short. Walking and routine activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure.    

SPIDER VEINS

Spider Veins are small red, blue or purplish sunburst on the surface of the skin especially the face, legs or ankles. They are usually considered cosmetic and a nuisance. Occasionally they cause aching, itching or burning sensation and sometimes they bleed.

Spider Veins are often associated with high venous pressure in the leg secondary to reflux from Varicose Veins. This needs evaluation and treatment to prevent recurrence.

After complete evaluation, Spider Veins are treated by injection sclerotherapy  and/or laser.
